Global Head of APIs, Connectivity and Identity
Juan Martínez is the Global Head of APIs, Connectivity and Identity at SWIFT.
Juan works closely with the financial community to understand industry member needs in the development area of APIs. He has been able to combine his Americas and European business experience, deep technological knowledge, and expertise in the FinTech industry to address market needs and achieve greater customer satisfaction.
Previously, Juan held a dual role as Managing Director of Latin America and the Caribbean and Managing Director of Business Technology Infrastructure. He has held other senior level positions within the company, including Head of SWIFT’s Software Business in the Global Marketing Division, as well as other marketing roles, including Head of Application Services and Senior Manager of Cloud Services. Before his tenure in the marketing group, Juan was Head of SWIFT Iberia, where he managed SWIFT’s commercial activities in Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra, as well as Key Account Management for Santander Group and BBVA Group worldwide.
Prior to joining SWIFT, Juan worked as an analyst and software engineer within the banking industry in Spain. He holds a masters in IT Management from the E.S.I.C. Institute and Politécnica University of Madrid and a technical degree in Software Engineer from the Centro de Estudios Superiores de Informática de Alicante.
